                           How To Set Up A Blackfoot Lodge

Cannavaro a resident of Kalispell, Montana has worked and studied among the Blackfeet people in Montana for over 24
years. As the former owner of two trading posts, one of which housed a tipi manufacturing facility, Cannavaro has gained
valuable experience in all facets of tipi making, set-up and tipi problem solving.

Cannavaro, known among the Blackfeet as
Akaupunni (Many Butterfly) was adopted by the Blackfeet in 1990. He spent
extensive time studying with the late
Mike Swims Under; Mary Little Bull; and George Kicking Woman of the
Blackfeet Nation in Montana.
How To Set Up A Blackfoot Lodge was accepted into the archives of the Montana
Blackfeet in 2004.

blackfoottipi.com was created to provide a way for people to acquire the field manual; How To Set Up A Blackfoot
Lodge
and additional information on Blackfoot/BlackfeetTipi's. With it's humble beginnings, blackfoottipi.com will aspire
to grow and help continue the traditions of the four pole method for lodges among the Blackfoot/Blackfeet people of the
United States and Canada.
